Competency-based Level Tests

At Vaughan, we offer various formats for assessing students, depending on their needs, required level of difficulty, availability, and flexibility. We have developed 4 specific tests: Speaking, Listening, Writing, and Reading.
Modalities
Speaking
Designed to assess the student's oral fluency. The test lasts up to 20 minutes and includes 4 parts. The entire test is conducted online, and the student must answer the questions orally.
Listening:
Designed to assess the student's listening comprehension. The test lasts 25 minutes, during which the student must answer as many questions as possible. The entire test is done online.
Writing
This modality assesses the student’s writing level. The test lasts 30 minutes and consists of two parts, which are completed online.
Reading:
Designed to assess the student's reading comprehension. The test lasts 70 minutes and consists of 8 parts. All parts are completed online.
Goals
To evaluate each student in the competencies required and/or critical for performing their job, with a specific test for each competency.
